mpack® Flat Pharmacy Vial
The foundation of the 5mRx product offering is the patented mpack™ pharmacy vial. The mpack’s flat, rectangular design offers ease of use, significant additional print and graphic labeling space for increased readability and clarity, and substantial space savings for the pharmacy. One of the most significant breakthroughs for the mpack® vial is the ability to support multiple bar codes and 2D codes on the package. The integrated Patient Management System, supported by media technology from partner company Vizconnect, allows near continuous interaction directly with the patient to enhance medication adherence and to provide additional services and information. These code technologies do not work well on the round vials and bottles used in the prescription market today.
The non-torque dependent design provides senior ergonomics while meeting or exceeding the child safety regulations. One of our other safety features is the use of a tamper evident labeling system to insure the correct count and the right drug is being delivered to the patient in a safe and secure package, especially important for the mail order market. Over 800 million filled prescriptions are delivered via mail order each year and few, if any, have a tamper evident feature!
By taking advantage of the flat design we have increased usable label space over conventional vials by up to 80%. There is plenty of label space to increase font type size as well as enough space for any other additional information a physician or pharmacy might want to include.
